We don’t just want to improve how things are done. We want to solve new challenges. By turning a problem on its head and exploring new, interesting (not boring) ways to fix it, we continue to move forward and stay at the forefront of innovation.
We help landscape developers, architects, designers and specifiers to push the boundaries of what’s possible for urban landscapes. Through innovative and superior quality products that work individually or as a complete system, we want to make inspiring, contemporary, functional and reliable places for people to enjoy.
Our team is a little bit obsessed with delivering quality products, going that extra mile for customers and making every process make sense.
We ensure the integrity and superior quality of all our products through our own quality management system.
We prove quality in a number of ways, including
product testing – once a product has passed our own vigorous testing, we send it to a professional laboratory for seal of approval
providing samples to clients – see the quality of a product for yourself and try it on-site before buying
The sustainable upgrading of urban environments has always been one of our top priorities. We continually research, develop and improve our products to deliver environmentally sustainable spaces.
“Concrete edging bothered me,” says Stuart Bowie, founder of Kinley. So instead of accepting the status quo, he took up the challenge to do landscape edging better. He designed AluExcel, aluminium edging that is ergonomic, flexible, strong, and of course, looks impressive.
When you see this edging in situ and compare it to the cumbersome, impractical concrete blocks traditionally used, you can only wonder why the design had not been conceived before.
From humble beginnings in small rented offices, Stuart has built up an impressive team over the past decade and added a range of outdoor landscape products to the Kinley portfolio, expanding the ExcelEdge range and introducing Terrace products.
Today, we continue to grow and evolve, supported by a whole team of specialists who all share Stuart’s passion for innovation, his belief in trust, teamwork, care and loyalty, and his mantra of ‘can’t stand hassle’.
Right from our vibrant offices and fun, dynamic team to how we approach every task (ask us about how we make tea!) everything just works. We aim to take the hassle out of every process – for us and our clients.
This means constantly refining and improving our products, as well as designing news ones to solve new challenges.
This is why we designed our terrace system which is so simple to install. If we see something that doesn’t make sense, we change it.
It’s our passion and desire for innovation and quality in everything we do that means architects, designers and specifiers want to work with us, and keep coming back to see what is new. So browse our products and services and give us a call or email (or come and visit us) to talk about your next landscape project.
We're committed to working with our customers to connect great products with great design through great people! Together, we build new and ground-breaking brands by keeping true to our values:
While we are always working to improve our products, processes and practices, it’s not just us that believe in what we do. Our quality management system is accredited to ISO standard, BS EN ISO 9001:2015 under the scope of “Assisted design, supplier, development and implementation of urban landscapes”.
So what does that mean for you?
Having already achieved Investors in People (IIP) Silver status in 2017 (and currently working towards Gold), the ISO mark is just another way in which we provide quality assurances to our clients, partners and employees.
We chose to apply for ISO and IIP accreditations as part of our desire for continual improvement – that is our belief in a strong customer focus, always looking for ways to better enhance our processes and ensuring we deliver quality products every time.
Finding ways to do things better, and taking the ‘hassle’ out of creating beautiful landscapes is what we do. But we can’t do it without our clients challenging us, and our team and partners stepping up to the challenge - always striving for excellence.
