Award winning roof terraces made simple through innovation.

Overcome typical design challenges with the fully modular Kinley system and learn about how our planters can be integrated into your award winning design.

Complete Modular Roof Terrace System

Kinley provide a wide range of landscaping products starting with our landscape edging and as these got taller we also started to manufacture planters as well.

Kinley provides a Complete Modular Terrace System consisting of pedestals and the rail system as well as our very own range of services. Roof terraces are very popular in urban environments at the moment within cities such as London and Manchester and particularly due to the fact that we have to expand vertically as opposed to horizontally.

Kinley have developed a Complete Modular Terrace System which essentially consists of pedestals and rails to overcome the obstacles associated with flat roof terraces such as waterproofing and insulation.

Our pedestals can cater for build-ups from as low as 54mm through to an excessive 1200mm. All the rails feature soundproofing rubber strips and it also means you can achieve more complex decking and tile layouts in a simple way. We also have perforated galvanised steel trays and these allow you to lay down permeable surfaces such as synthetic grass, rubber crumb, or even resin bound surfaces as well. This also means we can easily integrate Kinley planters which simply bolt straight through using a self-tapping screw.

As well as the support structure itself Kinley manufactures a wide range of high performance finishes ranging from porcelain tile range which is constantly expanding and cut to R11 finish as well as our composite decking which is manufactured from 50% PVC and 50% recycled wood fibre. This offers slip-resistance, algae resistance and also features a canva to ensure surface water run-off making your terrace safe as well as attractive.

To make your roof terrace a greener, more sustainable environment Kinley also manufacture a wide range of planters to which we can integrate lighting and recessed details and all work seamlessly with our finishes. As you can see in the clip this is where we use the roof tray system allowing us to run our composite decking right up to the edge of the planters and cut it to shape precisely.

As well as improved lifestyle for both employees and residents, roof terraces bring forward the opportunity to improve the sustainability of our society and in addition to this you can increase both the property rental and purchase value by up to 35% so definitely worth considering in your next development.

Kinley are a truly innovative company and we are always looking for the next trend and next way to improve our products so we welcome onboard your feedback and we'd love to hear how you are encorporating roof terraces into your current project.

Don't forget Kinley have got a new showroom in the heart of Clerkenwell, the UK’s hub for architectural creativity and industrial design so please do swing by for a coffee or tea at some point. We can hold CPD's here or we can visit your offices and we can further examine the Kinley portfolio as well as how we can provide a solution for your next project so please do get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you.
