Now in its fifth year, the event is unique as the only landscape focused conference held in Dubai. The aim of the conference is to emphasise the region’s commitment to the sustainable growth of green spaces. The event itself is attended by leading landscaping professionals, engineers, contractors, developers and government officials, who will be there to share ideas and best practice on the issues facing the landscape industry.
This year’s conference will focus on green infrastructure and its impact on the industry. Talks and panels will discuss innovative approaches to green infrastructure that will benefit the industry. This will include a number of topics within the area, including the opportunities for green walls and vertical landscapes, strategies for improving public wellbeing and outdoor environments as well as sustainable landscaping in Dubai.
Dubai is currently investing $1.63 billion to develop 12,000 hectares of urban greenery so it couldn’t be a better time for the conference to explore the impact of green spaces. The Summit is a great opportunity for industry experts to present and discuss the diverse opportunities and obstacles associated with developing and maintaining green landscapes in the city.
Kinley already has an established presence in Dubai, having supplied its leading AluExcel edging to the prestigious City Walk project. Since completion, this stunning leisure development has become a well-known statement project, using sustainable AluExcel to edge the footpaths running throughout the outdoor shopping centre. With many similar large developments currently underway in the area, Kinley is able to make an important contribution to each project thanks to its unique expertise and innovative and flexible edging.
Stuart Bowie, Director at Kinley, comments: “We’re really looking forward to sponsoring and exhibiting at the Middle East Smart Landscape Summit this year. This event is really important for the industry, as it offers up a great platform for landscape professionals from a number of countries worldwide to join together and share ideas and knowledge”.
Stuart continues “I’m delighted that this year’s conference is focusing on green infrastructure. This is a very important and current topic that I strongly believe the landscaping industry should be talking about more. Kinley is well positioned to make a significant contribution to the sustainability conversation with its collection of sustainable landscaping products, including the AluExcel edging which is made from 100% recycled aluminium.”
