Kinley, with their ExcelEdge aluminium edging systems, anticipated and worked hard to capture the opportunity afforded by huge urban regeneration projects coinciding with the urgent drive to eliminate wasteful use of scarce timber resources.
The revolution gained momentum as the benefits of recycled and recyclable aluminium became apparent and multiplied, far outweighing any increase in purchase prices.
Greatly reduced installation costs became obvious. Labour costs were slashed through the elimination of the need for haunching and mechanical handling of heavy traditional elements. Whole sections of drives or roadways can be completed from scratch to blacktop in a single day without risking injury to workers or damage to materials or existing works. Maintenance becomes almost non-existent.
Kinley pioneered flexible/rigid profile options. Curves, circles and gradient changes are elegantly possible using on-site manual forming. Ugly corners and fractured top-edges in timber or concrete kerbing are banished and grass die-back is history.
Through CPDs and other networking opportunities, Kinley listens to the challenges confronting landscaping professionals aiming to continue the enhancement of our living and working environment and develop innovative outdoor construction solutions.
