Kinley Extends Urban Edging & Relaunches HiGrade

As innovation in landscape and garden design advances, landscaping product designers and manufacturers such as Kinley need to develop products that nurture and enable creativity. To increase this design potential, we have widened our Urban range of heavy-duty steel landscape edging and relaunched the popular HiGrade range as a cost-effective alternative to bespoke ground-level planter systems.

Urban Edging Range Offers More Choice

Urban is a steel landscape edging product used for heavy-duty applications where hard and soft landscaping meet. It is popular both for high-end residential and public realm projects, where it creates stylish, hardwearing borders for driveways, footpaths, fine lawns and recreational areas.

Urban is compatible with all common hard landscaping materials including asphalt and other hot-lay surfaces, blocks and pavers, loose gravel and resin-bound aggregates.

While its flexibility allows it to be formed into curves for a more organic garden design, it is also rugged enough for high-traffic areas.

This popular product is now available in two thicknesses – 3 mm and 6 mm – and five edging heights, ranging from 100 mm to 300 mm in 50 mm increments.

All of these variables are offered in four finishes – untreated steel, CorTen weathering steel, galvanised steel and powder-coated steel. The powder-coated option is bespoke and can be matched to any RAL colour reference

HiGrade Landscape Edging

HiGrade Edging Creates Cost-Effective Planter Landscaping

As raised planters become more prolific in landscape design, particularly in the public realm, we have decided to relaunch our HiGrade landscape edging range as a fast, cost-effective yet high-quality alternative to bespoke planter systems.

Steel planters are conventionally fabricated in a factory and transported to the site, but this can be costly and involve long production lead times. By extending the HiGrade range to four edging heights – 350, 400, 450 and 500 mm – we have created a product that performs equally well yet saves money and time.

HiGrade planter edging is made from 2mm steel and has a 50x25mm folded top edge with a 95mm bottom return. It is delivered flatpacked for efficient transportation and on-site handling and in the same four finishes as Urban edging – untreated steel, CorTen weathering steel, galvanised steel and powder-coated steel. As with Urban, the powder-coated option is bespoke and can be matched to any RAL colour reference.

Urban and HiGrade Work Well Together

Both product ranges have been designed to complement each other and with identical surface finishes will create a harmonised look in any landscaping scheme. This is extremely useful if a landscape designer wants to incorporate edging for hard and soft surfaces with planters.
